Spruce Meadows (December 14, 2022) - The Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation is the official charitable arm of Spruce Meadows. Committed to supporting Education, Health & Wellness, Amateur & Grassroots Sport, Community, and Agriculture. The Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation has donated more than one million dollars over the last 7 years to a variety of charitable groups including the Centre for Newcomers, Canadian Mental Heath, Calgary Reads, Youth Centres of Calgary, Spirit North and many more.
During the Christmas season the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation raised funds for Calgary and area food banks including Calgary, Okotoks, Airdrie, Tsuut’ina and Cochrane Food Banks through donation and 50/50 raffle sales over the three weekends of the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market, presented by TELUS. In total, the Leg Up Foundation raised $35,000 during this year's festive season and this amount was distributed amongst those Food Banks to help those in need.
