Youth Centres of Calgary (YCC) focuses on reducing the effects of poverty and addressing the real and urgent problems associated with youth growing up in Calgary’s tipping point communities.
YCC concentrates specifically on youth who are economically and socially disadvantaged in grades 6 through 10 with insufficient access to healthy food, developmental opportunities. and activities.
When basic needs are met, families are able to function with much less stress and kids are able to improve their studies. Many parents are currently unemployed or underemployed due to COVID and cannot provide the most basic needs to their children.
