The Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation, in partnership with Nutrien, is proud to present the Growing the Next Generation© School Tours Education Program returns May 19–29, 2026.
Designed for students in Grades 4–6, this immersive educational experience brings Alberta curriculum to life through interactive, hands-on learning focused on agriculture, environmental stewardship, Indigenous history, horses, and healthy living.
Since 1976, tens of thousands of students from Calgary and surrounding communities have participated in the Spruce Meadows School Tours program — a unique opportunity to learn outside the classroom in an engaging and unforgettable setting.
The Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation Education Program continues to inspire curiosity, learning, and a lifelong appreciation for horses, education, agriculture, and the natural world.

| 💧 Eyes on the Wetlands: Aquatic Invertebrates This exciting environmental science station allows students to participate in pond dipping activities while learning about wetland ecosystems, biodiversity, and the interconnected web of life. | ![]() |
| ♻️ Lunch Time Fun: Waste Management Activity Following a show jumping demonstration and information session, students will participate in a fun and educational waste-sorting challenge that teaches responsible recycling and sustainability practices in an interactive way. | ![]() |
