Jump For Jasper Raises $73,150
TWO charities helping support fire-ravaged Jasper are benefitting from an “unbelievable” $73,150 donation ahead of Thanksgiving weekend, courtesy of the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation.
The enormous sum was donated by an anonymous donor via a fundraiser called Jump for Jasper, where they contributed $490 for every clear round delivered by riders and their horses on the International Ring during the ‘Masters’ tournament in September, at the Calgary show jumping venue.

At the 2024 CSIO Spruce Meadows 'Masters' Tournament, Martin Fuchs once again showcased his exceptional talent by securing back-to-back wins in the CPKC 'International', presented by Rolex. Riding the remarkable grey gelding, Leone Jei, Fuchs delivered an impressive performance despite collecting four faults in the jump-off. His victory was especially significant, as Leone Jei became the first horse to win a Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping Major at the same venue twice. Reflecting on his win, Fuchs expressed his surprise and joy, acknowledging the difficulty of being the first rider in the jump-off and the immense pressure of competing against the world’s top riders. He praised Leone Jei’s extraordinary abilities, noting how challenging the courses at Spruce Meadows are, and expressed his deep appreciation for the special atmosphere at the iconic venue.
