Military Tattoo at the 'North American' Tournament

June 19, 2024

The Feu De Joie, performed by troops from Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) to the moving music of the Royal Canadian Artillery Band, promises to be a captivating display of military precision and ceremonial tradition. This 50-man display is part of a larger Military Tattoo that showcases an impressive lineup of musical and dance performances, blending local talent with international flair.

From Scotland, the Grade 1 Inverary and District Pipe Band will bring their world-renowned pipers and drummers and will be joined by the energetic Keltka Highland Dance Team. Local favourites include the Calgary Police Service Pipe Band, Slainte Social Club Pipe Band, Cochrane Pipe Band, and the Calgary Highlanders Pipes and Drums, each contributing their distinctive sounds and styles to the event. The Calgary Round Up Band and the Stetson Show Band, both celebrated local ensembles, will also add their vibrant performances to the mix.

To top it all off, spectators can look forward to the exciting sight of a historic aircraft fly by, adding an awe-inspiring aerial component to this extraordinary celebration of military and cultural heritage. You won't want to miss this!
